Ten Network, South Asia's biggest sports content provider, announced that it has secured LIVE and Exclusive rights to broadcast the French Football League for 2012/13 to 2014/15 on multiple distribution platform for South Asia market.

The deal negotiated with MP & Silva, a leading international sports rights agency, offers 232 matches LIVE and Exclusive, showcasing 2 of French football's most prestigious title competitions:

Together with the broadcast of UEFA Champions League, Europa League, TEN Network reinforces its position as the 'Home of Football' for fans in the Indian subcontinent. The fans can continue to look forward to a comprehensive, engaging coverage of French Football across all platforms through its broadcast channels: TEN Action and TEN HD.

Ligue 1 is the primary football competition in France and has long held a top five position amongst the football leagues of Europe. The league has 20 clubs, including Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon) and big-spending Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), whose star-studded line-up features Javier Pastore on top of new power signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Thiago Silva. The clubs will play home and away matches over 38 rounds, with the 2012/13 season beginning 10 August.

The 2012/13 season represents the 80th anniversary of professional football in France and Ligue 1 is celebrating in style with new kick-off times, a new football - and newly renovated stadia in preparation of EURO 2016. French champions Montpellier-HSC begin their first ever title defence in a 2012/13 season that welcomes back SC Bastia to the top flight after back-to-back promotion seasons in the third division and then Ligue 2. Former European giants Stade de Reims are also back at the top table after 33 years and ESTAC won promotion to Ligue 1 for the second time in three years.

All Ligue 1 teams will also play in the Coupe de la Ligue, with the title held by Marseille since 2010/11.
