Arnab started his career with The Telegraph in Calcutta. For about an year, he worked on the Edit pages of the newspaper. Later, he joined NDTV and after spending approx 10 years there he moved on to launch the english news channel Times Now.

Arnab states that he is a firm believer in news that is “popular but not populist”. Ever since the launch of Times Now, Arnab Goswami has risen to be one of the most popular and influential news-readers in Indian television.

Arnab Goswami hails from Assam. As an army officer's son, he attended school in various cities. He passed his 10th Standard board exams from St Mary's School in Delhi Cantonment and his 12th Standard board exams from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jabalpur Cantonment.

Arnab graduated in Sociology from Hindu College, Delhi University. He has completed his Masters in Social Anthropology from Oxford University (St Antony’s College, 1994) where he was a Felix Scholar.

In 2000, he was a Visiting Fellow at the International Studies Department at Cambridge University (Sidney Sussex College) where he was a D C Pavate fellow.

The catchy, haunting, piano-plinking score won the Best Original Score Oscar (the film's sole award) for Francis Lai from its seven Academy Awards nominations: Best Picture, Best Actor (Ryan O'Neal), Best Supporting Actor (John Marley), Best Actress (Ali MacGraw)....
