"HDTV, a new technology is going to be introduced soon by Doordarshan. I see a very good future for this technology in today’s life and in future as well. People will experience a new aspect of TV viewing. All this is possible with the help of MPEG 4 compression algorithms, which are very efficient as compared to MPEG 2 and therefore, require lesser bandwidth", says, Atul Kuthiala, Director (Engg) Satellite, in an interaction with Media Mughals team member on the future of new technology.

Mr. Kuthiala has been associated with Doordarshan for the last 34 years. Doordarshan is one of the largest broadcasting organizations all over the world, in terms of its infrastructure comprising TV studios, transmitters, earth stations and TV channels etc. It’s a division of Prasar Bharati, Public Service Broadcaster, constituted by Government of India.

This is a very innovative and highly appreciatable step of doordarshan which gives a new dimension to TV & its viewership.I would also like to congratulate media mughals for their always "technology first" attitude and hope to see many more such interviews in near future.
