Google Chrome beat Internet Explorer to be the world's most widely used Web browser last week.
According to a statistic by StatCounter, Google Chrome beat Internet Explorer to the top spot while Firefox is in third place followed by Apple's Safari on fourth position.
Chrome though on the top spot worldwide still lags behind Internet Explorer in certain countries like the United States, China and Japan. However it leads by a big margin in India and in South America.
Google put out a statement saying that the company felt great to see more and more people around the world experiencing the speed, simplicity and security of Chrome and promised to continue remaining focused on building a better browsing experience so that people can enjoy a better web.
