DB Corp makes debut at exchanges, list at Rs 250 on BSE

The Indian media house, DB Corp Ltd got listed at the stock exchanges this morning (i.e. 6th January, 2010) and received good response. The company has listed 1.81 crore shares on both the bourses.
The shares of the company were listed at a premium of around 18% at Rs 250 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), while, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) the stock opened at Rs 254, at a premium of Rs 42.
The shares of the media entity received an overwhelming response within few minutes of listing. The value of the shares surged to Rs 273.90 on BSE; they touched a high of Rs 274 at NSE.
DB Corp Group publishes India’s second largest daily newspaper Dainik Bkaskar (Hindi), Gujarati newspaper Divya Bhaskar and Saurashtra Samachar, Business Bhaskar (Hindi business daily), English newspaper DNA (in venture with Zee Group) and operates radio services under the brand name of My FM.
DB Corp raised around Rs 385 crore through its IPO in December, 2009, which was oversubscribed. It plans to utilize the funds for launching its publications in new markets and to repay debts partly. |
