Despite only a double digit growth in revenues, TV Today Group has posted the profitability of 57.87% for the third quarter of Fiscal year 2009-10. The Network claimed on Monday that the net profit of Rs. 136.92 million for the quarter ended on 31st December 2009 is 57.9% more than the gain of Rs. 86.73 million last year.

Also, if compared to Rs. 652.66 million of previous year, the incomes generated from the operations registered a considerable hike of 7.8% with Rs 703.58 million this year. All this became possible because of company’s strong hold over the expenditures made during the mentioned quarter. The expenses stood at Rs 572.13 million, marginally lower then Rs 579.71 million.

According to a Media Analyst, “Though revenues have not seen a big leap, the market is improving steadily. We are seeing positive signals from the financial and realty sectors. News channels should stand to benefit going forward.”
