The ongoing spat between IIT Rajasthan and Datawind does not seem to be ending soon with supplies of the Aakash tablet having stopped completely.

According to a report in The Economic Times, Datawind, the company that manufactures the Aakash has asked IIT Rajasthan to release payments to get more supplies.

Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO, Datawind, said that the company would not any more tablets unless it received the payments for the tablets supplied earlier. The last date of validity of supplying the world’s cheapest tablets is just a month away (March 31).

A senior government official termed the spat as a purely commercial dispute between two parties. IIT Rajasthan however did not provide any details or say anything regarding the issue.
