Lenovo to upgrade tablets in India

Lenovo has announced that it will launch the Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) for its IdeaPad and Thinkpad tablets in India by May this year said a report in The Mobile Indian.
The tablets currently operate on Android 3.1 and will be upgraded.
Lenovo's ThinkPad, IdeaPad K1 and IdeaPad A1 which are currently available in Indian markets operate on Android 2.3.x. However it is expected that the tablets that run on Android 3.1 will be upgraded first.
Both the IdeaPad A1 and IdeaPad K1 are aimed at general users while the ThinkPad is targeted at business users.
India has a booming smartphone and tablet market and late last year the country also announced the launch of Aakash, the world's cheapest tablet for students.
