Streak, the new tablet device from netbook maker Dell is likely to debut in markets of Asia by the starting of next year 2011. However, the gadget is available to purchase in western markets like Europe and US.

The wonder device which faces tough competition from the iconic iPad from Apple offers some qualitative features. The gadget possesses a 5-inch touchscreen display, runs Google's Android OS, and packs a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor under its hood.

Also, capability to connect with Wi-Fi and 3G networks along with 2 cameras justify its brand value and pricing.

Steve Felice (President, Dell's small and medium business unit) said "We have not yet announced the expansion plans for Streak in Asia. I suspect the early part of next year we'll see that product."

The company is planning to bring its Aero version first in the markets before introducing the real Streak in order to have the customers' response.
