The need has always been there. Now the technology is there too. First Call is a traditional managed service for Avid Technology's iNEWS NRCS.

Usually management of newsroom computer systems is held in-house. New technology permits remote administration of broadcast newsroom computer systems around the clock.
"Just as the economy demands innovation and cost cutting R&C decided this is the right time to introduce First Call," said James Rowe, designer and partner.

Rowe has over a decade of global experience creating services for iNEWS and he relished a chance to fill a void long left unattended. Remote systems management has been accepted for years in other industries and now television newsrooms have the same opportunity as other information enterprises. All the services television newsrooms require for management of iNEWS NRCS packaged as a cost saving subscription.
