Samsung has announced that it will launch a Windows tablet in October this year.

The announcement soon after the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Friday refused to allow Samsung to resume selling its Galaxy 10.1 tablet.

According to a report in Bloomberg, the company is working on a tablet that will run the Windows RT operating system and be will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Samsung and Apple have been locked in a fierce patent battle spanning over several countries. Both the companies have accused each other of having infringed on their respective patents.
