Bharti Airtel appoints Shashi Arora & Rajiv Rajgopal

Telco major Bharti Airtel has strengthened its Business to Consumer (B2C) business by appointing two new players as CEOs for its broadband/data and DTH/Media services.
Bharati Airtel's service of broadband is a key area and it targets on small and medium business(SMB) segment and broadband at homes. On the other hand, DTH business includes pay per view / high definition (HD) as well as interactive Services including gaming.
Both these verticals are part of Consumer Business Group that will lead overall strategy for the Business to Consumer segment (B2C) with a clear focus on customer experience, product, and service innovation and building an ecosystem around the B2C services, said Bharti.
Rajiv Rajgopal is now the CEO – broadband/data. Prior to this, he has led integration of Tamil Nadu and Kerala (KTN) circles, in addition to leading this leadership circle for the mobile business. In other development, Shashi Arora is now the CEO – DTH/media services. Earlier, he handled the mobile business for some of Airtel’s largest circles - Delhi and upper northern states.
The company also said that Shashi Arora is now the CEO – DTH/media services. Prior to this, Arora had successfully led the mobile business for some of Airtel's largest circles - Delhi and upper northern states.
Commenting on their appointments, Bharti Airtel CEO-India and South Asia Sanjay Kapoor said that, with their rich experience and understanding of the business, they were confident that both would further consolidate and build on their leadership in both Broadband/Data and DTH/media verticals. |
