Vodafone and Aircel slash BlackBerry service charges

Vodafone and Aircel slash BlackBerry service charges

   Print    Email

BlackBerry’s internet service charges in India have reduced with service providers Vodafone and Aircel slashing their rates. Vodafone has reduced the internet service in the unlimited surfing plan from Rs. 1099 to almost half its price at Rs. 599. Aircel is also known to have slashed its service charges.

The earlier service charges allowed merely some Kb of free data. The new plan is expected to bring in more customers as it has become cheaper to access internet as well as unlimited e-mail, BBM and instant messaging.

The recent setback over the government of India threatening to ban the BlackBerry might hit its current buying market in the country.
