Videocon Telecommunications, the 14th telecom company which jumped in this constantly expanding market of India in the month of May this year only is now finding it hard to survive and accelerate in this highly competitive sector. The company is speculated to indulge in talks with perspective buyers to sell 26% of its stake.

With this move, the company is expected to make an amount of Rs.15000 crores. The news has broke in wake of rumors that some other players have also returned their licenses to the Department of Telecom for not able to manage business in Telecom sector in front of established players.

According to a study released by GSM Operators' Association (COAI), Videocon possessed a subscriber base of just 2.78 million in India.

Videocon offers services in Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, Mumbai, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, UP East, UP West and Himachal Pradesh, but is struggling to garner subscribers in a multi-SIM environment.
