LG brings Cookie Pep to Indian consumers

In order to grab more and more consumer attention, LG has launched its GD510 or Cookie Pep in India at an affordable price of Rs. 7500. This move is considered as its effort to encash a particular segment of mobile phone consumers which had been allured by Samsung Corby in the recent past in the same price segment.

The phone supports 2G network and is imparted the dimensions of 97.8x49.5x11.2mm with a weight of 87 grams. As far as the display is concerned, the phone is embedded with a 3 inches broad TFT resistive touchscreen that can give a perfect blend of 256K colours at a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The device has also got an accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate.

With a 3.15 megapixel camera, the user can take accurate pictures at a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. Through this camera one can also capture video at the rate of 15 frames per second. Along with this the phone supports Class 12 GPRS and EDGE technologies for the connectivity purpose. But at the same time lacks 3G and WLAN support. However, a micro USB port has been given form external connectivity.

Well, on memory front the device is laced with a good 42MB internal memory which can be extended further with the help of a 16GB microSD card.

Solar panel for battery charging (optional), Facebook, MySpace, Twitter integration, MP4/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WMA/AAC+ player are some other miscellaneous features of this JAVA platform based mobile device. The phone is available in two attractive Silver and Black colours and is expected to grab consumers' minds soon.
