BSNL has benefited approximately 7.5 lakh subscribers of Coimbatore, Ooty, Coonoor and The Nilgiri Hills by launching the latest 3G services in these cities. The BSNL’s Tamil Nadu Circle covering these places would be the first area enjoying 3G services in South India.

Mr. SS Sirohi, Principal General Manager & Head, VAS said on the occassion that “BSNL was planning to launch the 3G services to more than 700 cities very shortly. It is also believed that users can watch the IPL matches on Youtube on their cellphones. The future of the telecom industry is very exciting.” 

This service will facilitate users with making International calls anywhere in the world by using Fring, skype voice and video calls. Along with this, Live TV, Videos, Music Downloads, Real Time multilayer gamings at the lightening fast speed of 3.5Mbps are some other exciting services offered by 3G.
