Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave access (WiMAX), the technology which helps enhancing the strengths of existing broadband is going to foray in its latest version very soon. WiMAX 2 standard is soon to be finalized by the year end in the month of November.
The technical identity for WiMAX 2 is 802.16m and it will deliver amazing speed of 1GBPS. That means the actual and practical speed of Internet services will be 100MBPS.
It is notable that two major players in the markets of abroad, AT&T and Verizon have decided to zoom in their attention on LTE Technology. Thus, WiMAX has decided to launch its updated and improved version WiMAX2 very soon.
This new version will possess its hardware expected to be certified in the year 2011 will probably be available by 2012.
However, where India is still entangled in implementing the first version completely, the west is getting ready for the second and improved version. |
