Yahoo Japan may switch search engine with Google

Disappointing the Microsoft, Yahoo Japan according to the media reports has collaborated with Google for switching its search engine mechanism with that of latter. Yahoo is the considered as the most prominent internet player in the country and is all set to adopt Google's highly acclaimed search engine.
Media entities like Nikkei business have also affirmed the news about the possible deal between the two companies. However, the official announcement may come during the release of Yahoo Japan's quarter first results for the current fiscal. The results are due today.
Prior to this, Yahoo indulged in a 10 year deal with Microsoft for integration completion of its search technology in 59 countries by the second quarter of year 2012. The deal was done due for the purpose of saving a good amount of money.
Yahoo! Japan currently has just over a 56 percent share of the search market and Google has about 31 percent. If Google and Yahoo! Japan do form an alliance, the pair would control almost the entire Japanese search market.
