Roy Bostock to quit Yahoo in near future

Yahoo! Chairman Roy Bostock and three other directors will quit from the company as the company struggles with current situation and moving ahead with an internal overhaul, including discussions on dealing with its stakes in China's Alibaba Group and Yahoo Japan.�
Yahoo!'s Online division is gearing up currently to be there in the competition. In a letter written to the shareholders, Bostock and three other directors, Vyomesh Joshi, Aurther Kern and Garry Wilsen have informed that they have taken the decision on their own and they will not compete for the post of company’s director in future.�
Yahoo is facing competition from Google and Facebook. Recently, Yahoo’s Co-founder Jerry Yang had left the company. In September last year, the company had removed Carol Bartz because she was unable to improve the condition of the company.
The Board has now elected two independent directors. The new members include, �former Rovi Corp CEO and International Business Machines veteran Alfred Amoroso and ex-eBay COO Maynard Webb.�
The outgoing Chairman, Bostock , who is serving the organization since 2008 said that her departure will help the new colleague Stock Thomson to work for the company in a better way.�
