The Delhi High Court, on Thursday adjourned the hearing in the Google and Facebook case to February 14.

Google and Facebook are among 21 companies that have been taken to court over objectionable materials on their website.

Both the companies have challenged the summon orders sent to them by the trial court after they had refused to remove the alleged objectionable material from their websites.

Justice Suresh Kait, also rejected another petition by a person who said he was the website's subscriber and wanted to be a party in the case. The person had alleged that the banning of the websites was a violation of his Fundamental Right to Speech.

The websites had earlier stated that it is impossible for the companies to pre screen billions of content everyday and added that the responsibility of content posted was with the users and not the websites.
