Facebook collaborates with Miramax to rent out movies for Britons'

Facebook has inked a new deal with Miramax, taking care of the online film viewing habit of the Britons', which will rent out films and television shows.
Daily Mail reports that Facebook will charge around 1.80 pounds a film after signing a deal with studio Miramax. Facebook already holds similar movie deals with Movie giants Warner Bros, Paramount and to promote their films, but this is considered as the biggest movie deal till date.
The deal asks the viewer to watch the film or TV show within 30 days form the day it is rented through the Facebook credit system, but once they start to watch there is a 48-hour window to finish it. Interestingly, they can also discuss their film viewing experience with friends and suggest to studios how they could improve their films.
The app, designed in eight weeks, is still a beta version, and includes a game that lets people cast their friends in the roles from Miramax films.
Meanwhile, Facebook is targeting similar deals with other movie companies.
