Twitter makes multimedia sharing more convenient with redesigning

With an aim of making multimedia sharing service more convenient, the prominent social networking site Twitter has undergone a vital revamping. This is the first redesigning experience that Twitter has undergone since the time of its inception in the year 2006.

This time, the site has come up with a cleaner time line that doesn't constraint its user with a meager 140 characters to express him. The site offers a richer, easier and faster experience to the user after the redesigning. However, the new appearance splits the website into two clear panes. Now it is still to see the response of users.

The new look is designed to tempt users to linger on Twitter's website for longer periods as an incentive to advertisers. Twitter has also teamed up with YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Etsy and others to make it easier to view embedded photos and videos directly on the site. Previously, users had to click away from Twitter.com to view pictures and video on third-party sites, such as TwitPic or yFrog. The images and videos will be displayed alongside tweets from a user's Twitter stream.

"We are still figuring out all the new possibilities," Biz Stone (Twitter co-founder) said. Also, Twitter boss Evan Williams said, "It's all about getting more out of Twitter in a lot less time."
