SapientNitro, part of Sapient,  has launched the world's first Tesla Coil-powered radio station, Sparkleradio.fm, which allows users to send a personalised greeting via a musical card in time for Christmas.

In a creative and technological leap, SapientNitro London's Ideas Engineers have laid their hands on the two biggest musical Tesla Coils in Europe and dispatched them, along with a hardy film crew, into the geographical North Frigid Zone - from where Sparkleradio.fm will stream personalised Christmas greetings.

Going to extraordinary lengths to brighten everyone's Christmases, the crew are sacrificing daylight, warmth, sleep and their hearing (Tesla Coils are extremely loud), as they create streamed personal video greetings to go with every card. Each video is time and date stamped, and the recipient can see a GPS location which links to a location in the depths of wintery climes. The site is rumoured to be near Santa’s HQ, and as well as natural scenery, sightings of reindeer and even elves have been rumoured.

Sparkleradio.fm allows users to choose a song and send a personal message within the streamed video. There are a number of Christmas favourites to choose from, including Jingle Bells and Deck The Halls. The site is tablet and mobile accessible and more than 30 languages are supported. Sparkleradio.fm cards can be sent to friends and family by email and there are links to Twitter and Facebook. The hashtag is #sparkleradio.
