According to sources close to the development, Kasturi & Sons, the publishers of the Chennai-based English daily The Hindu, has roped in Arun Anant as the new CEO for the daily. Anant is expected to join in the first week February, afaqs reports.
Anant will join from IncValue, a management consulting firm, co-founded by him, that advises promoters and private equity companies post investment. This development will follow N Ram’s decision of leaving Hindu as the editor-in-chief and publisher of The Hindu earlier this month.
With more than 20 years of experience, Anant holds a PGDM degree from IIM, Ahmedabad, and has also done his B Tech in IT from BHU, Varanasi. During his career, Anant has worked with UTV News (now Bloomberg UTV) as its CEO, and Bennett Coleman & Company Limited (BCCL) as vice-president. He has also worked with IRIS, Lintas Worldwide (Lowe & Partners), and Hindustan Petroleum.
