The New York Times (NYT) has introduced its international news supplement in Singapore in the daily newspaper of the nation, ‘Today’. With this NYT has expanded the reach of its international weekly reaching a total of 29 countries.

NYT International, first introduced in 2002, would be a weekly section to be published in English. It will provide readers of Today in Singapore with a selection of articles from The New York Times. The supplement retains the layout and typography of The Times and includes news coverage, features, commentary, colour photos and graphics covering politics, world affairs, business, culture, style and social trends. It is prepared by The New York Times News Service.

Today is the first alliance of NYT International in the nation of Singapore. The newspaper was launched in 2000 and is published Monday through Saturday across the country. The newspaper is owned by MediaCorp, which also owns properties in television, radio, magazines and film. Today operates an online edition at www.todayonline.com. The newspaper is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
