Ultimately, 22nd day of August month has been set for the launch of Jharkhand edition of Dainik Bhaskar. This prominent newspaper of Hindi belt is trying hard to initiate its operations in the Jharkhand state but due to some dispute among its owners, the launch was delayed for long.

Prior to this, the Dainik Bhaskar Group had announced regarding the launch of its first edition from Jharkhand in March 2010. This exercise was to enter into another prominent Hindi speaking state that possesses the ad market worth Rs.100 crores.

After Jharkhand's capital Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad have been identified as markets where the group has plans to launch editions in future.

The newspaper will compete existing players such as Prabhat Khabar, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Hindustan in the space there. For this, the price for copy has been fixed at Rs.2 to provide it competitiveness in the market.
