Adding more localised content to its English daily, Hindustan Times has introduced a new section exclusively for its readers in the city of Gurgaon in the main paper.
To be placed among the readers as “Gurgaon First”, this customised edition delivers more news of the developments, issues and views pertaining to the metropolitan city. The edition has separate City pages for Gurgaon, special supplements for the NCR area, as well as the front page with stories having significance for the people of Gurgaon. Other than these, most of the pages would be similar to the Delhi edition of Hindustan Times.
The content would be the major differentiator for the Gurgaon edition wherein special columns, features and opinion of people would enable the readers to connect with the newspaper. The whole Gurgaon First edition would be circulated at a price of Rs. 3.
The new addition to HT Media’s English publication is being supported aggressive promotion and marketing strategy through outdoor, print and on-ground activation activities. The Group is organising a ‘Gurgaon First Festival’ at Epicentre, Gurgaon from July 16 to August 1 which would witness participation of the likes of Anupam Kher, Shubha Mudgal, Mallika Sarabhai, Rajit Kapoor, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and many others bringing a mix of India art, culture and theatre.
It has also scheduled a CEO Conclave for July 20 that would have some top executives, who live and work in Gurgaon, discussing the present and the future of Gurgaon.
Beginning with the Gurgaon First, HT Media begins with its endeavour to focus on the National Capital Region (NCR) zones through provision of news sections developed especially for the readers in the region. |
