Bhaskar publishes India's first 'From women, For women, Of women' edition on 100th Women's Day

Today on 8th March 2010, when every eye in the country is waiting for the commencement of Lok Sabha proceedings regarding the passing of Women's reservation bill, a team of 18 women journalists of Dainik Bhaskar has lead the whole group form the front and brought a full fledged edition that has been termed as, 'From women, For women, Of women'. This has happened for the first time in Indian journalism history that a complete newspaper is brought by women only.
For this task 18 women from various editions of Dainik Bhaskar teamed up in Bhopal. This team constituted specialist ladies from various fields such as Reporting, news editing, desk, layouts etc.
This special edition incorporates special features, write ups and views of different women who have achieved excellence in their respective work fields. This includes personal views of writer Alka Saravagi, Neeta Ambani, Neeta Puri, Meenakshi Madhavan Reddy, Sudha Murti etc.
Along with this, the edition also has a special section on India’s 50 most influential women that includes brief write ups on Sonia Gandhi, Sushma Swaraj, Mrinal Pandey, Mamta Bannerjee, Priyanka Gandhi, Kareena Kapoor, Sania Nehwal, Lata Mangeshkar, Katrina Kaif and many more.
But most importantly, whole content planning, coverage, editing and publishing has been done by this team of expert ladies. The team constitutes Prerna Sahni and Lata Khandelwal from Rajasthan, Renu Khantwal and Shweta Pant from Delhi, Sharda, Geeta Verma and Priyanka Chopra from Chandigarh/Punjab/Haryana, Lakshmi Kumar from Chattisgarh, Meera Triwedi and Savita Shinde from Gujarat, Rumani Ghosh, Saloni Arora, Aashi, Manjari Shukla, Jyotsana Pant, Manisha Pandey and Upmita Vajpayee from Madhya Pradesh. |
