International Weekly rolled out by The New York Times in Bosnia and El Salvador

The New York Times Company, increasing its reach of global network of newspapers in 29 countries that carry The New York Times international weekly, has introduced its international news supplement in Bosnia and El Salvador.
The International supplement, first introduced in 2002, will now be published in Dnevni Avaz in Bosnia and La Prensa Gráfica in El Salvador. The former will be published in English, while, the latter in Spanish.
The international weekly comprises of a selection of articles from The New York Times for its readers. The supplement retains the layout and typography of The New York Times and includes news coverage, features, commentary, colour photos and graphics covering politics, world affairs, business, culture, style and social trends. It is prepared in New York by The New York Times News Service.
Dnevni Avaz was founded by a journalist from the former Yugoslavia, Fahrudin Radoncic in 1993. Initially published as weekly by the name Bošnjački Avaz, in 1995 the newspaper was renamed to Dnevni Avaz published as a daily. Dnevni Avaz is owned by the Avaz Roto Press Company, which publishes more than 40 newspapers and periodicals. The newspaper is distributed throughout Bosnia and in 15 other European countries.
La Prensa Gráfica was founded in 1915 by Don Jose Dutriz. Today, the newspaper is owned by Grupo Dutriz, which also publishes El Gráfico, a daily sports newspaper, and several magazines including Ella, Motor and Blur. La Prensa Gráfica is headquartered outside of San Salvador in Antiguo Cuscatlán and is distributed nationally throughout El Salvador. |
