Le Figaro, the French daily newspaper has finally announced the details of its subscription model to be adopted for the content offered online. The newspaper will be offering three different tiers of subscriptions for access to its content.

Connect, Select and Business are three different levels of subscription for Le Figaro’s content. Connect offers free subscription and allows access to free email newsletters with general, cultural and financial news. It also enables users to comment on articles and create a personalised front page.

For Select, the readers will have access to features, more in-depth news, and specialist reporting on politics, culture, and international news in addition to the Connect offerings. This subscription model will also provide access to translated French version of The New York Times features, digital edition of the newspaper and 30 archived articles a month. In addition, the subscribers can publish their own articles and ask questions directly to Le Figaro's journalists about a particular theme of the news. The subscription cost for the Select model is Euros 8 per month, with the first month free.

Subscribers to the Business level of subscription of Le Figaro will have access to all the facilities included in Select with 90 archived articles a month. It will also add a morning and afternoon economics newsletter, as well as news about business and management, a business-focused social network, and a concierge service for restaurant and travel bookings. The cost of the model is Euros15 a month.

Le Figaro will be opening the service in from Monday, February 15, 2010.
