M J Akbar's 'The Sunday Guardian' launched in Delhi

Noted Journalist and author of eminent books like 'Kashmir: Behind the Vale', 'Riot after Riot' and 'India: The Siege with in', M.J. Akbar has now come up with his latest venture 'The Sunday Guardian'. The newspaper will serve its target readers on a weekly basis and its publication duties will be handled by Akbar’s own MJP Media Pvt. Ltd. The price for this weekly has been set at Rs.3.
On the launch of his newspaper, Akbar commented that advertisement will sit pretty in driver's seat as far as the revenues are concerned. Elite, sincere and educated class of Delhi is at the target for The Sunday Guardian. Whereas, the paper will also be available in London with the name 'India on Sunday'. Akbar himself would take the responsibility of editing affairs, while Marketing domain would be headed by Sonia Bakshi.
Akbar who is well known for his immense journalistic experience and contribution in the domain, holds earlier associations with big brands such as Times of India, The Deccan Chronicle and The Asian Age.
Mediamughals tried to personally contact Mr. Akbar regarding the latest development, but he was not available to comment. |
