Reliance Communications bags 'Best Implementation Of Green IT (Large Enterprises)' Award

Reliance Communications Ltd. bagged the 'BEST IMPLEMENTATION OF GREEN IT (Large Enterprises)' award at 'The CXO Awards 2011 - The Technology Chapter' held by BloombergUTV.
Mr. S Ramadorai, Vice-Chairman - TCS and Mr. Harish Mehta, CMD - Onward Technologies Ltd. gave away the award that was received by Ms. Alpana Doshi, CIO - Reliance Communications Ltd.
Mr. S Ramadorai, in his key note address, said, "From the Indian perspective the future belongs to those that recognize the power of IT to deliver reach, scale, predictability and replicability not just for their own business but to impact the lives of millions of people. Digital inclusion and leveraging of technology would drive its adoption, and increase access and affordability for our citizens enabling information and knowledge equity."
A Jury Panel comprising of Mr. Keki Mistry, Vice Chairman & CEO, HDFC Ltd., Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Vice Chairman & CEO, Zensar Technologies, Mr. S Mahalingam, CFO & ED, TCS, Ms. Kiran Bedi, Social Activist & Former IPS Officer, Mr. Sukumar Ranganathan, Editor, Mint, Mr. Avinash Vashistha, CMD, Accenture, Mr. Ashank Desai, Co - Founder & Advisor, Mastek and Mr. Harish Mehta, CMD, Onward Technologies Limited selected the winners from the top contenders in each category.
The CXO Awards 2011 were presented by Lenovo and Associate Partners - India First Life Insurance with Price Waterhouse Coopers as Knowledge Partners and was supported by TiE -Mumbai. The CIO Association of India, LinkedIn and CXOtoday.com partnered with BloombergUTV for the CXO Awards 2011.
