Former FremantleMedia, Amaze TV and 19 Television executive Martha Brass is to join Endemol as deputy chief operating officer, as the Big Brother firm looks ahead to "an extremely challenging year."
In her new role commencing today, Brass (left) will report to Marco Bassetti, Endemol's chief operating officer, overseeing operations across the Endemol Group.
Over the last 10 years, Brass has spent six years at FremantleMedia, where her roles included chief operating officer and commercial director. At American Idol producer Simon Fuller's 19 TV, Brass served as executive VP and head of television.
Most recently, Brass was commercial director of the CPH Group, which incorporated Amaze TV in the UK and D&D Media Group in Belgium and Holland. She was also MD of Amaze TV.
C21 revealed that Brass was exiting Amaze in October after co-founder Remy Blumenfeld shut up shop and defected to ITV. D&D also folded last summer.
Of Brass's new hire, Bassetti today said: "Martha is a highly skilled and experienced operator with an outstanding track record of working at the top level of the production sector."
He added that this year is set to be "an extremely challenging year for the whole industry," which made Brass's appointment "more important than ever."
Brass added: "Endemol’s success in building a production and distribution network that consistently delivers worldwide hits is second to none." |
