Mnister of State for Information and Broadcasting C.M. Jatua informed in a written reply to Parliament that the Prasar Bharati has been targeted by the Central Vigilance Commission of India for flawed broadcasting of sports events.

The agency has also blamed PB for lifting undue Parliamentary privilege. The commission has held the Prasar Bharati guilty of five of seven matters in its report dated 16th July submitted to the Delhi HC.

Prior to this, the High Court ordered CVC to investigate in this matter. The court directed the commission after hearing a public interest litigation in this regard.
