To support the continued growth and to further strengthen the company's offering to its client base, independent PR and marketing communications consultancy, MKM Marketing Communications Ltd, has appointed Caroline Shawley to the new role of senior account manager.

Shawley joins the company from one of the UK's top five technology PR consultancies, where she worked predominately in the broadcast sector on a range of both leading brand and niche players in the media and entertainment industry.

An accomplished public relations and marketing communications professional, Shawley has particular strengths in developing and driving effective PR campaigns, including using digital and social media as well as the traditional print domain.

"This role requires a sound account manager with specialist experience to work with our current high profile clients, as well as supporting the natural growth of the company." says Meriam Khan, founder and director of MKM Marketing Communications. "Caroline has fantastic international PR skills and experience, as well as a fresh take on how effective digital media campaigns can integrate into a PR strategy, and I am delighted to welcome her on board."

Caroline Shawley takes up her new role at MKM on Monday 16 July 2012, and will provide full PR support for MKM and its clients at the upcoming broadcast exhibition, IBC2012, in Amsterdam in September.

Services provided by the consultancy include media relations, digital PR, market research, event and project management, strategic consultancy, design and web support as well as media buying.
