The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) has unanimously appointed Mr Sam Balsara, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison World, as its Chairman for the year 2011-12. In other appointment, Mr T. Venkattram Reddy of Deccan Chronicle Holdings was unanimously elected as Deputy Chairman.

Sam Balsara has been a Member of the Bureau's Council of Management since 2002 and was the Deputy Chairman of the Bureau for the year 2010-2011. Prior to the recent development, Mr. Balsara has also leaded different organizations as President which includes, President of Advertising Agencies Association of India [AAAI], The Advertising Standards Council of India [ASCI], The Advertising Club of Bombay and IAA India Chapter.

Other members who were elected as Advertising Agencies Representatives include Shashidhar Sinha, Universal McCann Erickson (India) Pvt. Ltd. as Honorary Secretary, Madhukar Kamath of Mudra as Honorary Treasurer, and Vikram Sakhuja of GroupM Media India Pvt. Ltd.

For the board of Publishers Representatives Shailesh Gupta, Jagran Prakashan; M Venkatesh, Hindustan Media Ventures; Amit Mathew, Malayala Manorama; Aritra Sarkar, ABP; I. Venkat, Ushodaya Enterprises; Hormusji N Cama, Bombay Samachar; Devendra V Darda were elected.�

The members of Advertisers Representatives are SM Ahmad, ITC; Ravi Pisharody, Tata Motors; Debabrata Mukherjee, Coca-Cola India; and Anil Dua, Hero MotoCorp.
