Sky News Arabia, will be launching sometime in spring this year following its editorial and operational teams' move into a new studio in Abu Dhabi's twofour54 media hub.

Sky News Arabia is a joint venture between British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) and Abu Dhabi Media Investment Company (ADMIC).

The Arabic news channel's services will be available in high definition and standard definition free to air across the Middle East and North Africa.

The channel will compete against Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya which already have a hold in the Arabic news market. 

According to Nart Bouran, Head of Sky News Arabia, the company is already carrying out technical rehearsals and will start with full studio rehearsals later this month.
