Matthew Anderson, Group Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs in Europe and Asia, News Corporation will be stepping down from his post in London by March end.

Anderson will however continue as a senior advisor to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

Anderson worked for Star TV and News Corporation in 2000 as chief executive for the Asia Pacific region of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.

He joined News Corporation in 2008 from British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB), where he worked for three years as group director, communications and brand marketing.

Anderson is thought to have played an important role in coordinating News Corp's response to the phone hacking allegations that had led to the closing of the News of the World tabloid.

Anderson said that it was great privilege to work for News Corp and added that he looked forward to continuing his relationship with the company after he returns home to the San Francisco Bay area.
