NDS ties up with Hathway to give digital cable deployment boost in India

NDS has tied up with the leading Multi System Operator (MSO) in India, Hathway Cable & Datacom in order to give digital cable deployment a major boost in the subcontinent nation.

Moving forward on this initiative, Hathway will rapidly accelerate deployment of digital set-to-boxes (STBs) and significantly boost its digital cable TV subscriber base over the next 12 months.

While, NDS, the leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, will provide Hathway with a customised, end-to-end solution, to include the sourcing of digital STBs, integration of NDS Conditional Access System (CAS) and middleware, management of the deployment and ongoing maintenance and support.

NDS will be providing its market leading solutions including VideoGuard CAS and MediaHighway middleware, which will enable a host of advanced services and interactive applications for subscribers, and an electronic programme guide (EPG) based on NDS EPG Framework. EPG Framework will allow Hathway to customise their programme guide in-house and create new revenue streams by incorporating seasonal promotions, advertisements and even personalised subscriber messages.

NDS will continue to work closely with Hathway to deliver a raft of world-leading, affordable and innovative solutions and services to Hathway’s growing subscriber base.
