Harris Corporation continues to gain momentum with its broad multiviewer solutions across India as demonstrated by recent deliveries to Tata Communications, TV18 India, AAA Digital Imaging, Bharat Business Channel (Videocon) and NDTV.

The latest addition to the Harris multiviewer family, the Predator II-GX, was delivered to Tata Communications and TV18 India.? For its digital re-mastering facility in Mumbai, AAA Digital Imaging has taken delivery of nine QVM6800+ Quad cards, a 'multiviewer-in-a-card' solution.? Bharat Business Channel and NDTV have taken delivery of Predator II HD multiviewers.?

These sales come on the heels of the recently launched Harris 'Change Your View' multiviewer campaign, which illustrates how the company offers the widest range of multiviewers in the broadcast industry. Through this global campaign, Harris highlights how its multiviewers deliver high-quality images and are well-suited for a variety of applications — from the studio to a master control suite to a broadcast truck.
?
"Our wide range of multiviewers is receiving a significant interest from the growing broadcast sector in India, as these devices offer a real means of controlling and monitoring playout in a multi channel environment," said Stephen Wong, vice president, Asia-Pacific operations, Harris Broadcast Communications.? "The new Predator II-GX provides broadcasters with key features such as embedded audio monitoring, SNMP-based alarms and aspect ratio management as standard, and offers complete HD control and monitoring."

Available in a 1 or 2RU frame, the Predator II-GX is ideal for master control rooms, outside broadcast vans, production centres or monitoring facilities that require a flexible, scalable architecture. The Predator-II GX offers two new features: the ability to add extra input cards, allowing for future expansion needs; and an optional DVI-I input card, allowing PCs or test equipment sources to be displayed alongside the video inputs. Providing an impressive combination of high-end features at an excellent price-point, the Predator II-GX also offers built-in autosensing support for multiple input standards.

The QVM6800+ Quad card is a quad-split 'multiviewer in a card' that brings high-quality, multi-image display processing functionality to the popular Harris 6800+ modular core processing platform. The QVM6800+ offers auto-sensing of all input formats, including 3 GB/s, HD-SDI, SDI and composite sources.

Harris Broadcast Communications offers products, systems and services that provide interoperable workflow solutions for broadcast, cable, satellite and out-of-home networks. The Harris ONE solution brings together highly integrated and cost-effective products that enable advanced media workflows for emerging content delivery business models.
