EVS Broadcast Equipment, a company that pioneers in delivering solutions for Instant Tapeless Technology is preparing to unveil an array of solutions at the UK’s largest technology event, Broadcast Video Expo 2010 (Earls Court2, London).

To be at display would be the latest production server from EVS, XT[2]+ which has the architecture on the lines of field-proven XT[2] server. The XT[2]+ offers the broadcasters with increased storage capacity, maximum speed and the highest level of reliability. This is the most recent server in the XT series and is available in 6, 4 or 2 channel configurations, in SD/HD ready or full HD/SD mode with dual networking capabilities.

EVS would also be demonstrating tapeless studio production with XS, the sturio production platform. XS multi-format server offers peerless solutions for the recording and ingestion of multiple A/V feeds, playback operations and playout control. Having an open architecture, XS can also be controlled by third-party tools, such as automation systems, linear or hybrid editors, switchers and controllers.

Xedio, a modular application suite for the ingestion, production, editing, management and playout of news and sports media can also be seen at the EVS stand at BE 2010. This new software-based solution from EVS offers speed and increased productivity due to its virtual editing and media referring processes. It also provides absolute interoperability with third-party systems for archiving, NRCS (via MOS protocol), Media Asset Management (MAM), storage and graphics.

Combined with EVS-engineered XT[2]+ and XS productions servers, Xedio offers all of the flexibility of a tapeless system with the creativity of a world-class NLE. The result is fast and efficient news and sports productions in HD as well as in SD.

Besides the products at the exhibition, Henry Alexander, General Manager EMEA at EVS, will be presenting a paper on EVS tapeless workflows during the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday, 17 February. The presentation will start at 1pm, and is part of the Broadcast Meets IT seminar that is organized by BVE.

All these turnkey solutions from EVS Broadcast Equipment can be reached at Stand # E30 at the BVE 2010 (16-18 February, 2010).
