Sakshi TV installs Vizrt Viz Weather System for live weather graphics

Sakshi TV, the Hyderabad-based (Andhra Pradesh, India) news channel, has installed the Vizrt workflow for its complete live weather graphics operation. Sakshi TV, which is owned by Jagati Publications, is a HDTV channel launched on March 1, 2009 to serve the needs of people in the Andhra Pradesh region of India.
During the October month of 2009, Sakshi TV commenced with a half-hour weather report broadcast on the channel on gap of every two hours. These were being aired by the weather infrastructure of Sakshi TV that comprises of several Vizrt products such as Viz Weather; Viz Ticker3D; Viz Virtual Studio; Viz Curious Maps; Viz Content; Viz Artist and several Viz Engines for real-time 2D and 3D rendering.
Post deployment of Vizrt software, Sakshi TV enlisted the help of Astucemedia, a leading broadcast design and systems integration firm in Montreal, Canada, to customize the Viz Weather presentation system; create graphics for Viz Weather; create virtual sets for Viz Virtual Studio; and provide systems integration and staff training on the Vizrt workflow, informs Vizrt in an announcement made by it. |
