The second bail plea of the two senior Zee editors who were earlier arrested for allegedly trying to extort Rs. 100 crore from Congress MP Naveen Jindal's group was dismissed by a Delhi court on Monday.

The two senior editors were arrested for allegedly trying to extort the sum from Jindal’s group in return for not running reports on the coal block allocation scam.

The arrested editors, Sudhir Chaudhary(Zee News) and Samir Ahluwalia(Zee Business) were earlier remanded in judicial custody and sent to Tihar jail till December 14.

Rebecca John, the editors' advocate described the dismissal as unjustified and added that the two senior editors have been jailed in what seems to be a corporate war.

Earlier on Friday, the Delhi Police crime branch had informed the court that the interrogation of the editors was complete and that they were no longer required.
