Discovery Science will reveal the secrets behind the unexplained vision of eminent science fiction visionaries with its new series - PROPHETS OF SCIENCE FICTION. Hosted by Filmmaker Ridley Scott, PROPHETS OF SCIENCE FICTION will cover the life and works of the great minds of sci-fi, whose spark of imagination changed the reality. Some of the exemplars featured in the series include Mary Shelley, Philip K. Dick, H.G. Wells, George Lucas amongst many others.

What was once fantasy is now real; what once was science fiction has now become simply science. PROPHETS OF SCIENCE FICTION will give a glimpse into the future at science prophecies that have not come true, but may soon. Ridley will guide the series with his personal insight into each visionary and their provocative ideas about the future.

PROPHETS OF SCIENCE FICTION will air every night at 9.00 pm only on the Discovery Science.

Using iconic movie clips and cutting-edge animation, each episode of PROPHETS OF SCIENCE FICTION showcases the ideas, convictions and philosophies of significant figures from the science fiction realm. Examining the lives of scholars who are renowned for some of today's greatest sci-fi concepts, every episode represents the most groundbreaking conceptual viewpoints of their era.
