Sony today made several announcements, including professional solutions that will be unveiled for the first time in Asia at BroadcastAsia2012:

• Sony Overall BroadcastAsia2012 Umbrella Release

At BroadcastAsia2012, Sony is unveiling its latest technology innovations, building on the success of its 'Believe HD and Beyond' vision. Sony is using BroadcastAsia as a platform to demonstrate how it is shaping the future of the industry, by putting image quality at the heart of its very latest developments in HD, 3D, 4K, 35mm and OLED.

• Sony Expands NXCAM Line with New Full-HD Super Slow Motion Camcorder, NEX-FS700

Sony is pushing the creative boundaries once more with the new NEX-FS700/K Full-HD Super Slow Motion camcorder, the latest in Sony's line-up of NXCAM interchangeable E-mount camcorders.

The new Super 35mm model is designed for normal and high-speed shooting, capable of capturing footage at up to 960 frames per second.

• Sony Launches Affordable XDCAM HD Products for the Asian Market

Sony launches a new XDCAM HD 4:2:2 PDW-680 2/3" camera and HD recording deck PDW-HD1200, which have been designed especially with Asia's customers in mind. Inheriting high quality recording of up to HD 422 at 50 Mbps from the XDCAM family and its ability to record in SD format allows for a smooth migration between SD and HD formats.

• Sony Secures Leadership Position in OLED Technologies with Deliveries of 10,000 Monitors

Sony announces deliveries of 10,000 units for its TRIMASTER EL OLED range of monitors, which confirms Sony as the leading OLED manufacturer in the professional AV monitor market. Customers include the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Gearhouse Broadcast, Global Television, Seven Network and Nine Network in Australia, MediaCorp in Singapore and Astro in Malaysia.

• Sony Provides MediaCorp with HD Cameras and Broadcast Technologies

Sony is providing MediaCorp, Singapore's largest broadcasting and media company, with professional cameras and broadcast technologies for its ongoing high definition upgrade. Sony has supplied MediaCorp with PDW-700 XDCAM HD422 camcorders, HDC-1400R/T CCD Studio Cameras, PVM-2541 OLED professional reference monitors, MVS-7000X multi-format switcher processors, PDW-HD1500 recorders and PDW-U1 disk drives.

• Arrow Cinematic Group Rolls out Sony’s F65 Digital Motion Picture Cameras

Sony has been awarded a contract by Arrow Cinematic Group (Arrow) in Taiwan to provide and maintain its HD broadcast equipment. This major deal will see Sony supplying Arrow with 10 units of Sony's F65 CineAlta digital motion picture camera.

• Sanlih E-Television's Multi-Million Dollar HD Upgrade with Sony

Sanlih E-Television (SET), one of Taiwan's leading cable television stations, has rolled-out Sony's HD broadcast products and solutions for its ongoing HD studio upgrade in a multi-million dollar investment. The acquisition includes a range of broadcast cameras and switchers that will ensure the highest and richest quality content for SET's viewers.
