Samsung brings Omnia to India

Samsung Electronics launched the multimedia Omnia series handsets in the Indian market which are equipped with a wide range of features.

Omnia i8910 HD: a full-touch handset with an integrated 8 megapixel camera and HD video recording with 720p @ 30fps ability. It has a huge 3.7” AMOLED screen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. The phone also runs Samsungs proprietary TouchWiz UI and has been priced at Rs 33990.

Omnia Pro B7320: a nice business phone with a full QWERTY pad powered by Windows Mobile 6.1. Integrated 3 megapixel camera with QVGA screen. Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE or plain vanilla GPRS included the handset has 70 MB of internal storage space which is expandable to 16GB with the help of a microSD card. It has been priced at Rs16,500.

The Omnia series comes as a tough contender for the recently launched smartphones in the market such as Blackberry Curve and Nokia N97.
