Y.P Singh is an incisive technology driven professional with 31 years of experience in Broadcast media.  He is currently associated with Zee Network as Sr. Vice President (Technical). He is also a keen strategist with expertise in managing entire operations with key focus on top line & bottom line profitability by ensuring optimal utilization of resources. 

Singh has been associated with Zee News since Aug ’02. Prior to handling the post of Sr. Vice President (Technical), he was working there as a Vice- President. At Zee News he is supervising the technical facilities of Zee News, Zee Business, and Regional News Channels as well. He has also been involved in DTH technical support for installation and integration. Apart from this he also played a key role in the planning of major events like Cabinet elections, States Assembly Elections, etc. 

With the Expertise of working in Studio, Production Control Room, DSNG Van; the key areas of Broadcasting and live event feeds from the location via Satellite, he has also been involved in demonstrating success in conceptualizing, planning & executing improvement projects; for technological enhancement. 

Singh stated his career with Doordarshan in 1978 and continued there till 1999 as a. At Doordarshan he was Co-ordinating with technical operational fields including Vision mixing, Camera Control, Video Tape Recording, Editing, Sound, Telecine, Master Switching Room, Microwave, O.B. Van & other related fields. Apart from that he uses to look after the maintenance of the equipments & accessory equipments used in Television Broadcasting. Supervising installation of complete digital chain with Robotic Cameras in Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha.

With the vast knowledge of technology he was even working in studio design section of Doordarshan, Mandi House & was also involved in recommending equipment for purchase on the basis of comparative specifications. 

Equipment layout schematic in the Production Control Room, Studio and other related technical areas management, designing of Audio/ Video Schematics with proper cable schedule was the other aspect of his role in Doordarshan.  

Born in the year 1953, he did his graduation in M.SC Physics (Electronics) in 1977 and opted for media as his career.
