Rajat Nigam is a qualified electronics engineer and MBA professional, having a blend of technology and commercial aspects of the Broadcasting business as his core skills. His expertise lies in formulating solutions and system design for establishment of Television Channels and TV Broadcast applications.

Currently, he is heading Technology and Broadcast Operations of Times Group TV Channels - Times Now & Zoom besides establishment of upcoming Business News channel ET Now and expansion of facilities for launch of additional channels & related business verticals

Rajat has had hands-on experience in conceptualizing, planning, designing and launch of new TV Channels like, News 24, E24, MMTV, Ariana TV, LSTV etc. He has also been associated with establishment of Tata Sky and DD Direct DTH Platforms besides designing of Teleports and DSNG Vans.

He has undertaken concept selling of private FM Radio stations in India and establishment of the same. Rajat has vast experience & exposure of TV aspects of International sporting events like Olympic Games (Athens’2004) and Asian Games (Korea 2002) besides International Cricket.

Rajat has made a lot of contribution in defining regulations in the field of broadcasting in India. He was recently awarded by Broadcasting Engineering Society as recognition of contribution in developing broadcasting in India particularly initiative for HDTV, Use of MPEG 4 Transmission and Tapeless Production work-flows.
