Bharat Raj
Chief Cameraman : NewsX

Bharat Raj is an accomplished camera person with close to 25 years experience. He is currently working as Chief Cameraman in NewsX, the 24 hour english news channel since October, 2007.

Prior to NewsX, Bharat worked with Star News as the Chief Cameraman. He was Responsible for quality of shoots of news, programs and studio. He was also involved in training and setting up of Star News and Star Ananda channels and was heading a team of cameramen for News and Programs. He went to Basra(Iraq) through Kuwait to cover the war in 2003 and also worked as DOP for Election and Cricket shows shot in various cities with multicam setups.

Before Star, Bharat worked as a technical & lighting Director for SAB TV  Channel and with Wahindia & TVI channel as Director Cinematography . He also worked as a as Technical and Lighting Director for various shows on ZEE, DD news and Sahara India. He started his career with Newsline and thereafter moved on to Newstrack after coving a variety of international stories.

Bharat has shot for a documentary for CHANNEL 4 (London) and HBO produced by TrueVision(London) and has also Worked as Cameraman a weekly current affairs program on Star World.
