Chintamani Rao is Vice Chairman, Times Global Broadcasting Company Ltd (TGBL).

He spent 30 years in advertising, with leading global advertising companies including Lintas, Ogilvy & Mather and McCann Worldgroup; last as President, Integrated Communications of McCann Worldgroup and President of Universal McCann.

He moved into broadcasting in 2005 as Chief Executive Officer of Independent News Service, broadcaster of India TV. Prior to being named Vice Chairman for TGBL, he spearheaded the group as Chief Executive Officer.

He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) and the Broadcast Audience Research Council.

He is a graduate in Economics from St Stephen's College and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
